      SUMMER WITH SHEEN

      It's time to have some fun and learn more about our amazing Catholic faith. Please join us on Thursday       evenings June 13, 20, 27, July 11, 18, 25, August 1, 8, at 7pm in Las Mercedes to hear some amazing talks by soon to be St. Fulton Sheen. Archbishop Sheen will guide us through the sacraments, teach us how to deepen our prayer life, walk us through the Mass, and so much more.

      If someone you know has been away from the Catholic Church and would like to resume active practice of the Catholic faith, we extend a warm welcome home. Our sessions provide updated information on the basics of Catholicism, and offer an opportunity to explore and reconnect with the Church.

      Pope Benedict XVI declared that a "Year of Faith" will begin on October 11, 2012 and conclude on November 24, 2013. October 11, 2012, the first day of the Year of Faith, is the fiftieth anniversary of the opening of the Second Vatican Council. . . (Vatican II) and also the twentieth anniversary of the Catechism of the Catholic Church. During the Year of Faith, Catholics are asked to study and reflect on the documents of Vatican II and the catechism so that they may deepen their knowledge of the faith.
