Our ambo was shaped from a boulder found in a field near Llano, Texas. The face on which the lectionary rests has been polished to reveal bright flecks of copper hue. The location of the ambo stresses the importance of the Liturgy of the Word and the renewed emphasis on the scriptures as a result of the reforms of the Second Vatican Council.
