If an engaged couple includes at least one person who is registered in our faith community or who resides in our parish boundaries, they are welcome to prepare for the Sacrament of Marriage here, whether their wedding takes place in this parish or elsewhere. Couples are asked to call the Pastoral Center at least 6 months before the intended wedding date.

Prince of Peace requires couples to:

Schedule an appointment with a priest.

Complete the paperwork necessary for a sacramental marriage.

Meet with a Sponsor Couple to complete a FOCCUS questionnaire, which helps to identify attitudes, values and behaviors that are important to marriage.

Review the results of the FOCCUS with that same Sponsor Couple.

Attend an Engaged Encounter Weekend, a program sponsored by the Sacramental Office of the Diocese of Dallas.

If a couple is already civilly married and wants to have their marriage sacramentalized, Prince of Peace requires couples to:

Schedule an appointment with a priest.

Begin the process of seeking annulment(s), if necessary.

Complete the preparation and paperwork necessary for a sacramental marriage.
