About Anointing of the Sick

This sacrament is intended for the strengthening and healing of those who are gravely ill. It may be received when a person is at home, in the hospital, or at the Parish.

• In the case of an after-hours serious medical emergency, call the priest emergency number: (972) 380-2100. If a priest does not immediately answer please leave a detailed message with your name, phone number, location, and a description of the emergency. Our priests take turns being “on-call” for these important and unexpected anointings. The on-call priest zoned for your hospital will arrive at your location as soon as possible.

• If it is not an emergency please schedule your anointing by calling the Parish office at (972) 380-2100. Depending on your circumstance, our priests may come to your home, the hospital, or you can schedule an anointing at the Church. Please be aware that our priests can only promise to administer an anointing within our Parish boundaries. If you or your loved one is in a hospital or space zoned outside of Prince of Peace’s boundaries you may be referred to another Parish.
