12th Annual North Texas Catholic Men’s Conference
All men (including those 16+ with a family member) are invited to the 12th annual North Texas Catholic Men’s Conference on Saturday, April 22 from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
This year’s conference takes place at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in Frisco, 8000 Eldorado Parkway, located just east of the Dallas North Tollway.
Online registration and conference details are available at www.catholicbrothersforchrist.com/ntxcmc. The registration fee, including lunch, is $49 for men. High school and college student registration is $16. The conference is free to seminarians and clergy.
"Encountering Jesus: Eucharistic Revival," is the theme for the conference featuring Fr. Donald Calloway, Dr. David Anders and Matthew Leonard. Men who attend will be motivated to kindle the fire of God’s love, reinvigorate their faith and live life to the fullest as a joyful disciple.
The Dave Moore Band will usher men into God’s presence with praise and worship. Dave Palmer from the Guadalupe Radio Network and general manager/on-air host at KATH, 910-AM will serve as emcee.
Hosted by the Catholic Brothers for Christ ministry that serves the Dallas and Fort Worth Catholic Diocese, the men’s movement seeks to enrich men’s lives by the renewal of their mind, heart and spirit to pursue holiness.
“We want to motivate Catholic men to build the body of Christ by uniting as brothers, striving to become a living example of the Gospel in all areas of their lives, and help facilitate faith-building programs at their local parishes,” said Rick Self, CBFC ministry board president.
The gathering of men will include several sacramental moments in the sanctuary interwoven with motivational, educational and uplifting talks, and uplifting music, from the guest speakers and musicians.
“While we gather as men from more than 100 parishes in North Texas, we want to build up one another and increase our prayer life and spirituality,” said conference chair Bill Kula. “We also encourage men to collaborate with other Catholic organizations with an emphasis on men’s spiritual needs.”
