Immigration Volunteering Update:
We at Catholic Charities Dallas are aware of the situation at the border. Many have asked how they can step in and help, and our immigration office is now prepared to accept volunteers in the following way:
· Become a fully cleared CCD Volunteer: https://ccdallas.org/get-involved/volunteer
· Attend an immigration volunteer training; need only attend one session to be an immigration volunteer
Two options for training:
Every Friday from 10 AM – 12 PM
Thursday prior to the 3rd Saturday of the month from 6 – 8 PM
· Assist with a Citizenship Workshop; you must attend a training session prior to serving at a workshop, and register as a workshop volunteer in advance
Two options for Citizenship Workshops:
Every Friday from 1 – 5 PM
3rd Saturday of the month from 8:30 AM – 2 PM
All immigration volunteers will need to attend an immigration volunteer training in order to volunteer with the immigration department. We ask that all current immigration volunteers attend an upcoming training to brush up on the new immigration laws, processes, and procedures and will be contacting them separately to arrange a training time.
