What is Pursue?
Pursue is an umbrella term for all of our initiatives for married couples. As married couples, we are pursuing holiness, a relationship with God, through our marriages. It is so easy to fall into patterns that allow happiness and holiness in marriage to fade into the background noise of our everyday lives. We must be intentional. St. Pope John Paul II writes that man “can fully find himself only through a sincere gift of self.” Marriage gives us the opportunity to find authentic happiness and holiness! But it can only be achieved when we intentionally pursue it! We can also realize that we are not alone in this pursuit of happiness and holiness in marriage, we are surrounded by a community of couples who are trying to do the same. Our community can support each other as we all grow in holiness. Pursue will offer opportunities for couples that would like to make Christ and community part of the firm foundation of their marriage. We hope that you will join us in Pursue.
Who is Pursue For?
All married couples! Engaged couples too! If you are dedicated to pursuing happiness and holiness by pursuing a happy and holy marriage, you are invited. There is no minimum age and there is no maximum age. Couples of all ages have a lot to learn from each other and a lot to share with each other.
Pursue Married Couples Socials
All married couples are invited to join us for our Pursue Married Couple Socials in the Cana Center for drinks, food, and fellowship with other couples in the parish. These socials will be recurring regularly throughout the year to give all of our married couples a chance to connect with each other to grow in faith and community. Married couples and engaged couples of all ages are welcome. Free childcare is available with an RSVP. RSVPs are requested to get a headcount, but walk-ins are welcome! RSVP for each month through the Upcoming Events link.
Pursue Small Groups
Pursue Small Groups offer a chance for couples to grow in happiness and holiness in marriage within a dedicated small group. Sessions are held in a couple’s home. They start with dinner and social time. The second half of the night has some marriage content to orient our discussion, but ultimately the content is our own marriages as we work to grow in our marriage. New groups get started in the fall and spring.
