Construction Recap of First Week of March

A construction worker watches as an excavator quietly removes the bricks from our original chapel to clear space for our new sanctuary and welcome center.

Weekly recap

It was a bittersweet week as we said ‘goodbye’ to our old chapel (top photo). Construction crews continue to remove debris from the atrium and chapel area. The altar from our old Sanctuary was carefully removed from the Sanctuary and placed in the columbarium (see bottom photo). Unfortunately, due to safety concerns, our columbarium still remains closed to visitors. Foundation piers have been installed near the school in preparation for the new wing which will be built this summer. Fundraising is still critically important to the success of our building campaign. As of February 2022, $20,197,282 has been pledged to the campaign of which $10,241,800 has been received in pledge payments and donations. We are grateful to all our parishioners who are praying for and have donated to the campaign. We could not do this without you!

In these three photos you can see the altar being slowly relocated from the old sanctuary to the columbarium.
