Dear Parishioners,
As we enter into Phase Three of our parish capital campaign renovation and remodeling project, I want to inform you that effective June 1st, we have entered into a property lease agreement with the House Of God's Glory Church, located at 5220 Village Creek Drive, Plano, just down and across the street from us, which will allow us to celebrate daily Mass on their premises during this construction, transitional time. The daily Mass times will remain the same: Monday through Friday, 9:00am (school days included) and 5:30pm as well as Saturday, 9:00am. School Mass will be celebrated in the gym on Mondays at 8:15am during school session, as usual.
So, we will transition daily Mass out of the St. James "Chapel" and into the House Of God's Glory Church on June 1st, 2022. The establishment of an adoration chapel at our POP campus is still in the works and will be unveiled when finalized. Stay tuned.
The House Of God's Glory (HOGG) Church is a non-denominational Christian Church that aligns with the tenants of our faith. Our Bishop, graciously, has approved of this partnership.
I am personally grateful to Pastors Emmie and Jema of HOGG Church for their openness and willingness to provide their worship space to us thereby allowing us to celebrate daily Mass, as usual, during this time. In my humble opinion, this Ecumenical arrangement is exactly what we need to be entering into and actualizing as a Body of Christ, now and in the future.
I want to thank Pastors Emmie and Jema for helping us during this transitional period and I look forward to a long-standing relationship between them and us in building the Kingdom of God in Plano.
