Honor our Heroes Ministry packs 500 care packages!

On Saturday, October 21st, over 70 volunteers gathered to pack 500 Care Packages to be given to deploying troops through the USO! Each box contained 21 much-needed items, providing the soldiers with things not readily found during deployment. Over a two-month period, our volunteers shopped and stored items, wrote notes of encouragement as part of the Candy Bar Project, collected funds so that purchases could be made in bulk, sorted, and organized and finally packed all 500 boxes in less than an hour. Over 1,000 volunteers of all ages contributed their time and talent to this event. POP School, Religious Education Students, Volunteers from Honor Our Heroes, individual parishioners all contributed to make this event very successful.

We thank you for all you have done to support our brave troops.
