Our Family of the Month for November 2023 is the Rich and Suzy Frasco family, selected based upon their outstanding service to the Knights of Columbus, Prince of Peace and the Diocese of Dallas. They were also honored as the August 2021 Family of the Year.
Rich, a Fourth Degree Knight, and Suzy have been attending POP for nearly 15 years and are involved in numerous activities. Both Rich and Suzy participated in the Christ Renews His Parish ministry, and Suzy teaches Baptism preparation classes at POP and is a coordinator of the Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion and a lector.
Rich served as the Recorder for Assembly 3642, and is in his fourth year as District Deputy for four Knights Councils including the National Shrine Cathedral of Our Lady of Guadalupe in Dallas, Mary Immaculate Catholic Church in Farmers Branch, St. Monica Catholic Church in Dallas and Prince of Peace Catholic Church in Plano.
Rich joined the Knights of Columbus nearly 20 years ago. He has dutifully served Council 11716 in a number of leadership roles. He was the Council’s Grand Knight from 2018 to 2020 and led this Council to Star Council status that was awarded the 2020 Council of the Year for the Dallas Diocese. He also served as Deputy Grand Knight for two years and as Recorder for three years.
Rich loves cooking and explains why he is the long-standing “go-to guy” in the kitchen for the legendary Knights Breakfasts and special events. He is also intimately involved in helping properly equip the new POP kitchen located adjacent to the Parish Hall.
Suzy has a master’s degree in theology from Loyola University and has taught theology to freshmen and seniors at Ursuline Academy for nearly 25 years. Previously, she served as the Director of Religious Education at All Saints Catholic Community. Rich and Suzy have been married for 53 years, have four children and eight grandchildren.
Please join me in congratulating SK Rich and Suzy Frasco for being tremendous servants.
