On Saturday, December 18, Prince of Peace’s Honor our Heroes Ministry in partnership with the Knights of Columbus, traveled to the Fort Worth National Cemetery for the annual Wreaths Across America event. Wreaths Across America coordinates wreath-laying ceremonies at more than 2,500 locations across the United States, at sea, and abroad.
Knight, Rex West, explained, “We state the name of the veteran, for example, Sergeant Joseph a Smith, United States Army, Vietnam. Then we would read if he received any medals like a Purple Heart. Then we would thank him for his service, Offer a prayer, and then stand up straight and with great reference repeat his name again.”
